Fever Dream by Samanta Schweblin

A dark psychological horror story nominated for the Man Booker International Prize that read with such intensity and a clarity of writing that I was gripped. I experienced the writing as if it was a Royal Court or Almeida Theatre production in my mind! Schweblin has woven a story past and present set in the Argentinian countryside (I imagined a town like Yapeyu from recent weeks of our trip), that is constantly unravelling: “we have to find the exact moment when the worms come into being”.
